An app that helps people with anxiety, an app that helps employers find diverse talent, and a maker of sustainable furniture for senior living complexes and hotels were among the women-owned startups highlighted during a Startup Milwaukee Week event on Wednesday. Doyenne Group, the Wisconsin company that focuses on the advancement of women entrepreneurs, held its 5x5x5 pitch event at Northwestern Mutual`s Cream City Labs space in downtown Milwaukee. At the event, women-led businesses from the Milwaukee area pitched their startup business models to a panel of five judges for the opportunity to secure a $5,000 seed grant and enrollment in the 12-month Doyenne Accelerator Program.
