Payout total for unemployment benefits in Wisconsin reaches $1.14B during pandemic

The number of people to file for unemployment insurance in Wisconsin has surpassed 550,000 since March 15, including 31,851 who filed for benefits the week ending May 16, according to preliminary data reported by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
