WAUWATOSA, WI – More than 200 local jobs at the Briggs & Stratton production facility in Wauwatosa will be eliminated after the company announced recently it will move some of its production to New York.
The Milwaukee-based company has alerted the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development that 228 jobs will be lost at the facility that production of lawn tractors, riding mowers, snow throwers and power washers will be moved out of the Burleigh plant and to the new location at the end of August.
