Wisconsin Company Expanding to Greenwood
GREENWOOD - A Wisconsin-based tool manufacturer is planning to expand its operations to central Indiana. Milwaukee Tool says it will invest nearly $7 million to establish a tool service hub in Greenwood and create more than 480 jobs by the end of 2025. The company, which makes heavy-duty power tools and hand tools, as well as storage products and accessories, plans to lease a 150,000-square-foot facility that will be used for tool repair and warehousing...

...Milwaukee Tool employs some 5,000 people throughout the U.S. The company is currently hiring for management and operations positions at the new Greenwood location.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. plans to offer Milwaukee Tool up to $4.5 million in conditional tax credits and up to $500,000 in training grants, which the company will not be eligible to claim until Hoosier workers are hired for the new jobs.
