Milwaukee Tool`s new downtown office will begin operations in February, according to a new city filing.

Renovations on the five-story, 350,000-square-foot office building, at 501 W. Michigan St., began this summer.

A Milwaukee Tool affiliate bought the long-vacant building, last used by Assurant Health, in May for $7.9 million.

The company plans to begin using the building`s third and fourth floors on Feb. 9, according to a new occupancy permit application filed with the city Department of Neighborhood Services....
