![]() Companies that get public assistance and then cut or relocate jobs outside the state would be subject to stricter reporting requirements under a proposal to be discussed Tuesday by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. board. The proposal from Rep. Peter Barca, D-Kenosha, expands on a policy adopted two years ago when the agency came under fire for giving out awards to companies that later sent jobs to other countries. A Wisconsin State Journal review at the time found at least 10 cases over the previous decade of companies receiving a state award and then later sending jobs abroad.
