Wausau Business Park certified for faster development

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW)- Wausau is the first location in Marathon County to become certified by the Wisconsin Economic Development Commission or WEDC.

This means the land in the Wausau Business Park is “shovel ready,” so once a business purchases the land and gets its plan approved by the city council, it can start building.

The goal is to allow faster development and bring more businesses into the area.

"This program will enhance Wausau`s ability to attract future development to Wausau`s business park because it provides companies and site selectors with independent verification that a site is ready for development,” WEDC Secretary Mark Hogan said....
