Paul Soglin blames Scott Walker, Scott Fitzgerald, WMC and WEDC for state economy

Mayor Paul Soglin sharpened criticism of the state’s Republican leadership Thursday in response to Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald blaming him for the pending closure of the city’s Oscar Mayer headquarters.

Soglin blasted Fitzgerald, Gov. Scott Walker, Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. for the state’s weak economic performance over the past five years compared with other states.
