OSHKOSH -- After years of negotiations, the crumbling Buckstaff property on Oshkosh`s South Main Street could start coming down as soon as this summer.
The Oshkosh Common Council unanimously decided to accept a $150,000 grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. to help tear down the former furniture factory and to use other funding to make up for a slimmer-than-expected grant funding. The city previously asked WEDC for $300,000, but the state agency awarded only half that amount.
