Baraboo company gets money from state to meet demands for COVID-19 supplies


BARABOO (WKOW) -- A Baraboo company is growing to meet demands for COVID-19 testing supplies with the help of state tax credits.

With up to $250,000 in job creation tax credits from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, Baraboo`s Teel Plastics will add 59 jobs and open a new location.

According to a news release from the WEDC, Teel expects to produce more than 150 million COVID-19 swabs every month, opening a fourth location in Baraboo to do so. The company also plans to install new equipment at its main location in Baraboo to increase swab manufacturing capacity.
