Wisconsin Power Tool Maker to Add 1,000 New Jobs


A rapidly growing manufacturer of power tools plans to add approximately 1,000 more jobs in its home state.

Milwaukee Tool will spend more than $200 million over the next three years to expand across locations in southern and southeastern Wisconsin, state officials announced. Many of the new jobs will be in engineering and technical roles to reinforce the advancing technological capabilities of its tools. The projects will also add new equipment, invest in infrastructure, and expand its research and development capabilities, company officials said.

The company plans to add jobs at its Brookfield headquarters, as well as in Milwaukee, suburban Menomonee Falls, Mukwonago, and West Bend, and the Madison suburb of Sun Prairie. Hiring is already underway...
