He’s helping REVAMP ‘rural, rural’ communities


The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), the economic development organization for the state, not surprisingly, is located in Madison. However, unbeknownst to many, a WEDC representative is working in Sawyer County to help rural communities, or what he calls the “rural, rural areas,” in the northern part of the state.

Ken Notes: Both the WEDC rural reps and the regional EDC`s often fly below the radar, yet are instrumental in developing the state. I still wish we had a more formal structure to tie all these entities together and better communications with the State.
