The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation says a $10.7 million expansion at a plant in Dodge County is expected to create about 150 jobs over the next two years.

Ken Notes: This investment is tied to jobs and growth, a good thing, but these investments tend to be limited to larger companies. Why not just offer a state income credit of X dollars over Y years for new hires paying Z to any company expanding their current employment base. Also allow communities to offer property tax credits for X years when expansion creates a guaranteed growth in value...
