Queen Elizabeth II was the world’s longest-serving monarch.
She became queen of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand in 1952.
As a young teen, she witnessed the horrors of World War II, as an aged monarch she saw the agonies of the coronavirus pandemic.
Her son Charles became king upon her death.
