The Village on Park Parking Ramp Includes Percent for Art Public Art Initiative

Seeking local input on Michael Ford’s public art and design concepts

On June 8, 2022 the Madison Arts Commission (MAC) selected Michael Ford, also known as the “Hip Hop Architect”, to create the integrated public art component for a new parking structure planned for 2300 South Park Street.

Graef and Strang, the architects hired to design the building, consulted with the City to identify opportunities for integrating public art into the project. The artist was asked to create work that would enhance the exterior face of the project as well as the interior stairwell.
