In a city known for its extensive public river walks, a new project provides another way for Milwaukee to embrace its waterfront.

The river walk coming to the harbor and the mouth of the Kinnickinnic River, which just won city approval, will be the largest new section of Milwaukee`s overall river walk system.

And, it will feature places that feel more like public parks ? including a large plaza as well as an area with fish and wildlife habitats where people can literally touch the water.

Work is to begin on the Harbor District project early next year. It is to be completed in spring 2024...
