A number of Milwaukee-area companies have shifted offices to downtown over the past decade or so ? with Milwaukee Tool the latest while Fiserv and Northwestern Mutual relocations are coming.But there`s another trend: companies based outside the Milwaukee area moving to the city to help better recruit and retain employees.
The latest is Mayville Engineering Co., which is leasing space at Honey Creek Corporate Center, on Milwaukee`s far west side. The manufacturer plans to move its headquarters there from its namesake community in Dodge County, about 50 miles away...
