Audit finds state economic development agency fails to comply with several policies


A recent report from the Legislative Audit Bureau (LAB) found that the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) failed to comply with several of its policies and has not implemented recommendations made in previous years. 

WEDC, which is a public-private agency designed to help with business development and innovation through loans, grants, tax credits and technical assistance programs, was started in 2011 under Gov. Ken Notes: While I am sure that this will be fuel for the fire, I still can not name one organization or one person that did more to move Wisconsin Forward during and after the pandemic than WEDC and Missy. Let`s fix what needs to be fixed but lets not allow this to be a political football. Or better yet lets allow an audit on all legislative initiatives -- like not funding the UW System when we had the chance...
