The incentives would assist Kikkoman’s $800 million investment in expanding to Walworth and Jefferson communities.MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) approved Tuesday to award up to $15.5 million in incentives to Kikkoman Foods Inc. for its expanding operations in Wisconsin. The incentives would assist Kikkoman’s $800 million investment that plans to expand its brewing plant in Walworth and create a new facility in Jefferson. Officials on behalf of Kikkoman say the Jefferson plant will be the third production facility for its soy sauce product. According to officials, this expansion plans to bring about 83 new high-paying jobs over the next 12 years. Kikkoman Foods Inc. opened in Walworth, WI back in 1973. Officials say the opening of the plant made history as one of the first production facilities built in the U.S. by a Japanese company. Another production facility opened in Folsom, CA back in 1998... Ken Notes: I have toured Kikkoman`s and it is one of Wisconsin truly hidden jems and suggesting the "Masters" take the product seriously is a huge understatement. We could learn a great deal from the pride they take in their product... | ||
