MADISON, Wis. — Madison-based Realta Fusion Inc. has partnered with the U.S. Department of Energy to support the development of commercial fusion energy. The agreement, announced this month at a White House summit, will include funding for Realta in the first phase of the DOE’s milestone-based fusion development program, according to a news release. The program only allows public funding when a company hits certain milestones and Realta will supply a significant chunk of cost when working toward its milestones.
