MADISON, Wis. -- Governor Tony Evers, along with the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority, announced Wednesday that WHEDA has reached an all-time home purchase record in its history.
The announcement comes after Gov. Evers` declaration of June 2024 as "Wisconsin Homeownership Month." According to WHEDA, its single-family team had closed 240% more home purchases this year than it did last year.
WHEDA said the team closed more than 2,700 home loans exceeding $558 million, with time still remaining in this year.
