(Wisconsin) Governor Tony Evers, together with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD), announced Thursday that Wisconsin achieved a new record high for employment during October 2024. The new record for total employment, released Thursday by the DWD, breaks the record previously set in September. Preliminary employment estimates for October showed Wisconsin’s seasonally adjust unemployment rate remained at 2.9 percent, 1.2 percentage points below the national unemployment rate. The state’s labor force participation rate increased to 65.7 percent in October, while the national rate fell to 62.6 percent.
